WOW, I would have never thought of this, but a family called our local dog warden to check out my facility!  He was impressed and said everything was great.

Below, I will answer some very important questions that I think are important for you so that you will have as much information as possible for this type of financial and emotional investment. Even if you do not choose a Schnoodles, Ink puppy, you should be able to get the answer to these question from any good breeder.

Question: Where in Ohio are you located?
Answer: As my page says, Northwest Ohio. I will only disclose a more exact location to those who need to be here to pick up a puppy, or schedule a visit.

Question: How long have you been breeding
Answer: I have been breeding since 1999. With lots of information from my experiences, my vet, families with my schnoodles and information I get on-line, I feel very confident in the quality of the puppies that I sell. I breed only 1st generation schnoodles, not schnoodle to schnoodle.

Question: Do you have any written references?
Answer: I do have references of most of the new schnoodle owners from the litters I have sold. They  would be happy to talk with you about Schnoodles, Ink in general or specifically about their pup.

Due to the amount of requests that I get for schnoodles, and to keep the amount of requests for information that my references get to a minimum, I will make this list available only upon request and only to families that have been selected for a puppy - before I receive any money.  My references are not "picked through" by me, I will even share names of families that may have negative comments, but ask that you keep an open mind and use the information you receive from all references and question me and other schnoodle owners about anything negative.

Question: Do you have a written guarantee*?
Answer: I have a 1 year written guarantee against health problems that are directly related to his/her breeding lines.  A report from your vet must accompany any requests for refund or replacement of a puppy.  I also have a 10 day guarantee against any virus type disease.  This guarantee means that if the puppy you take home has serious virus or inherited illness, I will replace it with a healthy puppy or give you a refund, minus the first deposit, upon return of the pup to me.
*See the actual contract/guarantee after your application has been accepted for more specifics.

Question: Have you ever sold a sick puppy?
Answer:  Yes, Once, out of 20 litters (as of 8/19/05), I sold a group of puppies that were exposed to parvo virus.  I did not wait long enough after shots before letting the pups go to thier forever homes, so the families had to deal with the illness. 90% of these families are positive references for me and my breeding program in regards to how that situation was handled.  The information that I learned from that experience has made me a more cautious and knowledgable breeder.  All pups that I sell now have been immunized 2 times and held for at least 5 days after the 2nd shots before leaving my home.

Question: Do you have both parents of the puppies?
Answer: At this time I do have 9 schnauzers and two poodles in the breeding program.

Question: Are there any health issues with the adult dogs?
Answer: The dogs that I have are all in good health. None of the dogs have blindness, weakness or any other disabilty.

Question: Where are the puppies raised?
Answer: The puppies are born and raised in our attached garage.  They are handled and socialized very much by the time you get them. The puppies will be taken outside to play after they are 4-5 weeks old  so that they can play and be active in different settings.   They are held, petted and loved very much by everyone everyday.  They will be exposed to the other adult dogs regularly. This helps to socialize them in regards to other dogs. They have their own TV that help provide the sounds of a family home most of the time. We continue to have positive comments from new families about how well socialized our puppies are at such a young age.

Question: Where are the adult dogs kept and are they socialized?
Answer: Our dogs are all raised at our home. We have a fenced in back yard.  They all have their own box for sleeping/resting at their leisure.  They spend a couple weeks before birthing and 7 weeks with their puppies living in our attached garage.  We have 7 acres and they all often go for walks with my husband and myself around the property. They do not have to be on leashes because they love to interact with us so much that they stay mostly right at our feet - we joke that they actually take us for walks, not us with them.

Question: What do you recommend for spaying and neutering?
Answer: All schnoodles have to be fixed, you will sign an agreement that states you agree to this arrangement.
Males neutered at 4 months or when your vet
suggests;
Females spayed at 6 months, before her 1st heat (which usually happens around 8 months).

Question: Can you show me pictures of your other puppies?
Answer:  There are pictures on my web page and I have some photos here for viewing.

Question: What range of size are your puppies as adults?
Answer:  The pups will generally stay around the 13-15 lb. range and be a real nice size for long or short walks as well as naps on your lap.

Question: Do you dock the tails and remove the dew claws?
Answer: Yes, The tails are docked because it is customary for the schnauzer and poodle, so it is on schnoodles. The dew claws are removed for the safety of the pups later in life.

Question: How old are the puppies when they leave your home?
Answer: We let the puppies go when they are right at 7 weeks old.  They get their shots and vet check up at 6 weeks old.
