Cosmo
is the most AMAZING puppy I've ever seen. He's already crate
trained - he loves his "den". He's pretty much house broken - he
goes to the same spot to relieve himself outside and has had only 2
accidents inside. He knows which door to go to when he wants in
or out. He's very laid back and loves his humans. We haven't had
to use a leash on him yet - he stays close when we go for walks. We are
totally nuts for this little guy.
I took
Cosmo to the vet today. He has Coccidia. The vet said its
likely that the other puppies have it as well. I'm assuming
you're familiar with this - it is potentially fatal if not treated
properly. We started treatment today and expect a good
outcome. [All puppies
were treated and recovered quickly - similar to having worms, which
puppies are born with (see faq page)].

We
can't thank you enough for such a wonderful puppy. He is a
perfect match for our family. His disposition is so calm and easy
going - the perfect thing for our busy and often crazy household.

03/17/09 I had the joy of adopting one of your
little angels in June of 2007. I still repeatedly find myself
taking a few minutes to look over your website and look at the latest
puppy pictures. Ollie will be 2 years old in a month and he is my
closest companion. Everyone who has met him would adopt him into
their home in a heartbeat. I got married this past August, we
moved to a new state, and just purchased our first home in the past
year. Ollie has been with me through it all and kept me
sane. You warned me when I picked him up that he would demand a
lot of attention and YOU WERE RIGHT! He loves to be the center of
attention. I could not have asked for a more loving, intelligent,
and devoted first dog. He is truly a member of our family.
I encourage you to continue breeding such incredible puppies to share
with families who desire another member to love AND be loved by.
We also adopted a kitten--now fat, growing cat-- after our move.
I am sure that Ollie and Charlie will be life long friends and the
oddest companions. One does not go far without the other.
01/17/09 Hi Michelle, We should have contacted
you sooner, but kept forgetting. We purchased our Schnoodle, Ellie,
from you last February. We just can't express the happiness this
critter has brought to this household! >
She is
absolutely spoiled and rules the home. Here's some pics. Thanks for
Ellie! Bob & Dian
07/31/06 - Do schnoodles swim? Read on.....
Just a brief update. We decided on Coby for the name of our new pack
member.
Lance and Coby have bonded fantastically. Today was Coby's new puppy
check
and everything was great. The vet fell in love and said he was 100%
healthy.
Coby is scheduled for his 3rd series of shots August 28 and also to be
neutered
at this time. He is eating well, crate training is going ok we have had
a
couple trying times. Potty training still in the works!! On
the way home from the vet today Jack & Lance stopped at a pond to
go swimming and were excited to see how Coby would respond to the
water.
Our last dog would barely drink out of a pond much less swim. Coby
investigated
the beach, took a couple laps of water then walked right in and took
off
swimming. Lance was very excited, he had to stay close so if he got
tired
he could hold him. thank you again for the great addition
to our family.

Michele,
Thank you so much for the special addition to our family. Cooper
has
been such a treat. He has been to puppy kindergarten where he
learned
a lot of commands, very quickly I might add. He will be getting
fixed
on Monday per our agreement. Our vet Dr. Babbit says he is going
very
well and healthy as can be. They all talk about the little teddy
bear
dog and all the girls come in to see him each time he has been
there.
I wanted to say thank you because Cooper could not have come at a
better
time. We recently found out one of our labs has cancer and will
not
be with us long. So having a puppy has been good for our young
son.
Thank You, Laura

Hi Michele,
Well, it is Maggie's birthday month and we think of you
often. Two is a great age for a dog! Maggie is therapy dog
registered and we
make visits together to a nursing home and also to the children's
hospital. She is also taking canine agility classes and loves it!
We love her so much. I shudder to think of those scary
parvo days. You would never know to look at her that she was ever
ill a day in her life, much less had a feeding tube and an IV when she
was just 8 weeks old.
Thanks again for breeding wonderful sociable pups. Maggie
is more than we ever dreamed for in a dog.

01/06/06 Maybe considering a second Schnoodles, Ink puppy?
Read
on....
Our first schnoodle from Michele is a male named Harley. He is
great,
gets along well with all other dogs (male and female). He turned
2
years young in August and we just got another male puppy from Michele
and
we named him Davidson.
At first Harley wanted nothing to do with the puppy in the car on the
ride
home (9 hours). If I held the puppy, Harley jumped into my
husband's
lap which he never did before. Even my husband was
shocked! We've had Davidson since 12/30/05. The
2 dogs wrestle with love
(open mouths and a sound that sounds like they are talking to each
other).
The only time Harley growls is when Davidson either lays on his bed
or
eats out of his bowl and I think this is normal. Davidson is quite
aggressive
with Harley or any dog for that matter. He doesn't back down even
though
he only weighs 6.5 lbs @ 10 weeks young (yes, he is a
chubby
one).
The addition of Davidson has made Harley play like a puppy again.
They
both frolick and run in the backyard. Harley always seems to be
in
the area of Davidson although he wouldn't admit it if he could
speak......They
also nap well after playing a little rough. It never gets too
rough,
they keep going back for more.....
I will say this.... Michele's pups are all wonderful,
loving dogs. That says alot about
their environment before the buyer takes the puppy home and it also
sets
the tone for how the dogs will grow with their new families given the
same
quality love.
Keep this in mind....I have a schnoodle breeder about 1 hour north of
my
home and I chose to drive 9 hours each way to Schnoodlesink.....I
wanted
the same quality schnoodle and didn't want to take a chance on another
breeder.
I hope this helps you in the process of deciding whether or not to get
another
schnoodle.
Kind regards, Terry, Stroudsburg, PA

Hi,
We have a beautiful, healthy female schnoodle that we call Belle.
She is about 14 months old now and is 13 and a half pounds of puppy fun
and love. The pictures below were taken when she was about 8
months old (about 11 pounds). She looks the same now. A few
days after we picked up Belle, she came down with a virus problem
(possibly Parvo which has spread throughout the US) which required a
trip to the vet. The vet gave her some fluids and prescribed a
couple of meds, we took her back home, and Belle was fine in a few days.
The adoption process from Schnoodles Ink worked well for us.
Since this was our first transaction of this sort and we didn’t have
any problems, I don’t have any suggestions on changing the process.
We have raised two other dogs from puppies over the past 30 years, so
we knew what to expect. We mostly kept Belle fenced in our
kitchen area on the tile floor for the first few weeks until she was
housebroken. For the first few nights, I put a noise-making
device in the kitchen that gave a sound of being in a train (sounds
close to a heart beat). She didn’t whine very much and was
completely quiet after about four nights.
Belle is a frisky, playful puppy who loves being around people.
She doesn’t shed, but she does need to be groomed every couple of
months. We have taken her to a puppy training class and taught
her several tricks and useful commands. She really enjoys playing
fetch and going on
walks. And when she finally gets tired, she is perfectly happy to
sleep in our laps or right next to our feet. We crate trained
her,
and she’ll go right into it when we tell her, “Go to your bed!”
We
give her a treat and make sure she has a toy, then close her up for the
night or when we go somewhere.
She can occasionally be strong-willed and ignore us when we call her
back in from the backyard (she wants to check out all the places the
rabbits
have been). We also haven’t solved her pulling while we’re on a
walk,
but she gets better after she burns off some energy.
Overall we are very pleased with Belle and love having her as a part of
our family. And we have been happy with all our transactions with
Michele Bird. I have no problem recommending her as the source
for a great
Schnoodle. I hope you have as wonderful a time with your puppy as
we
have with ours .
